These Terms of Service govern your use of Kinea, including the Kinea website, mobile app, and related backend services. By creating an account or using Kinea, you agree to these Terms.

These Terms apply to your use of the Kinea mobile apps, website, and any related online services we operate.
You must be at least 16 years old to use Kinea. If you are younger than 18, you must also have the permission of a parent or legal guardian where required by applicable law.
Kinea helps you log workouts, review training history, compare training with selected friends, and receive AI-assisted training analysis. We may update, improve, limit, or discontinue features from time to time.
Some features may depend on third-party infrastructure, app stores, payment providers, analytics, or advertising providers. Availability can vary by device, platform, jurisdiction, and release stage.
Kinea includes AI-assisted analysis and recommendation features. These outputs are generated automatically from workout data and related context.
Exercise involves risk. You are solely responsible for your health, training decisions, physical condition, and use of Kinea. Do not use Kinea as a substitute for medical care, diagnosis, treatment, rehabilitation planning, or emergency support.
If you have an injury, illness, pain, dizziness, unusual symptoms, or any medical concerns, stop training and seek advice from a qualified physician or other licensed professional.
Some Kinea features require a paid subscription. Subscription purchases are processed through the relevant app store and supporting providers such as RevenueCat. Pricing, billing period, taxes, and any introductory offers are shown at checkout.
Unless otherwise stated at purchase, subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You must manage cancellation through the app store account used for the purchase. Refunds are governed by the rules of the platform through which you purchased.
Kinea may offer a free tier with usage limits for certain AI features. Kinea may also offer optional rewarded ads that grant bonus recommendation credits. Rewarded ads are optional and are not required for core workout logging and training history features.
If you download Kinea through Apple App Store or Google Play, your use is also subject to the applicable platform terms. The app store remains responsible for billing and platform-level purchase handling.
You agree not to:
If you use Gym Buddies or other social features, you must behave respectfully and lawfully. We may investigate misuse and may remove content, restrict interactions, suspend features, or terminate accounts if we believe this is necessary to protect users or the service.
You are responsible for what you share with other users. Social features are provided on an as-available basis and may be modified, limited, or removed.
You retain ownership of the data and content you submit to Kinea, including workout entries, custom exercises, notes, and social interactions.
You grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, process, reproduce, display, and otherwise use that content only as necessary to operate, maintain, improve, secure, and provide Kinea to you.
You represent that you have the necessary rights to the content you submit and that your content does not violate applicable law or the rights of others.
Kinea, including its software, design, branding, text, visual materials, and non-user-generated content, is owned by us or our licensors and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Except as expressly permitted by law or these Terms, you may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, sublicense, or create derivative works from the service.
If you provide feedback, you grant us the right to use that feedback without restriction or compensation.
We do not guarantee that Kinea will always be available, uninterrupted, error-free, or compatible with every device or operating system version. We may change features, pricing, technical requirements, or supported regions at any time.
You may stop using Kinea at any time. You may delete your account where the in-app deletion flow is available. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms, create risk for other users, abuse the service, or if continued operation is not feasible.
Termination does not affect rights or obligations that by their nature should survive termination, including payment obligations already incurred, legal claims, and intellectual property protections.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where liability cannot be excluded under applicable law.
Under German law, our liability is governed as follows:
Your statutory rights as a consumer remain unaffected.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. If you are a consumer resident in the EU, you also benefit from any mandatory consumer protection rules of your country of residence.
Unless mandatory law provides otherwise, the place of jurisdiction is the provider's registered place of business.
We are not willing and are not obliged to participate in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board.
